Welcome to my little spot on my husband's website. Here are some of the recipes I've collected over the years. Some have been passed down from my mother, others either sent in or given to me by friends and neighbours. I am not a trained chef and cookery is just a hobby that I very much enjoy.
Kiddie's Corner - Let's get back to basics by Sandra

My mother baked every Sunday. Myself and my three sisters all helped. We loved every minute. We would put our own little mark on whatever we had made, so we all knew who had made what.
Then Mum would put them in the oven. We were amazed to watch them grow, and you can't beat the smell of home baked cakes.
Afterwards, we all helped clean the kitchen ready for tea. The best thing was seeing what you made and everyone enjoying it.
All they need to start is an apron, mixing bowl and wooden spoon, oven tray, a bun or tart tin and that's it. Do stress the importance of clean hands at all times!
