Table of ASCII Codes and Characters

ASCII stands for 'American Standard Code for Information Interchange'

When you press a key on your keyboard, your computer assigns an ASCII Code to each of the characters, as computers can only understand numbers. ASCII is also used in many other types of communication equipment to represent text and by control devices that pass data back and forth.

Note: ASCII is always written in uppercase and traditionally doesn't include periods.
