
Useful in calculating which quarter period is required when applying for a birth certificate.
Example of use: Census 31st March 1901 at age 45 would give the birth as: 31-3-1856
But age may be anywhere between (45 yrs 0 mths 0 day) and (45 yrs 11 mths 31 days)
Therefore you would need to look at birth records stretching 4 quarters.

Don't forget that records can be wrong and sometimes people lied about their age.
